Re: Annual Wood Duck Society Meeting Sat April 4th

Is the meeting free? I'm curious to what they have to say, but have no desire to support them financially in any way.

Re: Free Pine Wood Duck Boxes

I and many others have had coons and squirrels go right past 2' high sheet metal on trees. The article even stated that the racoon got past it and took another photo of it. You conveniently negated to mention that didn't you? Considering its cost, that the sheets rip apart as the tree goes, the box...

Re: Free Pine Wood Duck Boxes

One thing no one is mentioning is what a god damn eye sore these things are. There's few things worse than seeing a nice wetland's aesthetics being flocked up by some kindergarteners arts and crafts project stuck out in the middle of it. The boxes put in trees are atleast making an attempt at being ...

This was also a question in the survey, whether or not you feel limits/seasons should be based on science, or what is considered popular amongst society.

Re: Poll results from the 2015 Waterfowl Symposium

I received one of the winter surveys. There was around 100 questions in it, a lot of "do you feel filling a bag limit is the only way to have fun" and "is filling a bag limit the sign of a succesful hunt" type questions. A section on how many days you hunt and how many ducks/gees...

Re: Post a picture you took in the last week.

If you want flavored whiskey, put some of the cheap stuff in a freshly poured out Gatorade bottle that still has the droplets in it, any flavor works, I prefer red, and let it sit for a day or so. Takes some of the cheap whiskey edge off. It's still better with a mixer and ice, in a cut off two lite...

Re: Buffer strip bill has support, opposition

The best part is that once they've destroyed their water, which they're well on their way to doing, they'll blame the government and expect them to fix it. Part of the problem is farmers view this as "their" water. For people that are supposed to be so attached to the land, how do they tu...
