Re: MN Supreme Court uses grammar lesson for final word

So if I shoot a deer, I'm no longer allowed to hunt in the woods for the year?

Re: A hot bite: Red Lake fishing pressure smashes record

Speaking of norwegian depth finders here is another secret of the pros - Walleye live in schools. Catch one and hook it with plain hook and line (length depending on current water depth, a good rule is depth plus 10') tie the other end to a plastic bottle of your choice (diet dew) and throw it all ...

Re: A hot bite: Red Lake fishing pressure smashes record

The res should sell fishing licensee to non-tribal members for their portion of the lake. I wonder how much people would be willing to pay? I'd go as high as $200. I'm sure others would pay much more. What's a Norwegian depthfinder? I've never heard of them guiding on Lower Red, just all the other ...

Re: A passionate duck hunter voices concerns about teal seas

Change is a hard thing to grasp or accept for Minnesotan waterfowl hunters. We need to manage our public areas for better harvest opportunities. The overall, traditional thought process dealing with regulations and tweety bird, sunrise glue sniffers idealism is idiotic. There's better ways to do th...

Re: A hot bite: Red Lake fishing pressure smashes record

It'd be fun if a guy could fish lower red just to see what it is like. With how good the upper half that whities can fish is, the rest of the lake must just be even that much more phenomenal. The natives have a 100 fish daily limit down there with hook and line. I've seen pictures of them with cool...

Re: A hot bite: Red Lake fishing pressure smashes record

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a 1 or 0 fish limit for this summer. We went WAY over our harvest level. I go to red every year for first ice when you can only walk out. I'm not a big fan of fishing it once you can drive out. It seems no matter how far you get away from the crowds, the crowds fin...

Re: Could Raw Sewage Help Mille Lacs?

Quack, I believe URL does max out around 15 ft. LRL is much deeper. You said Red. That little gap on the map in between the two lakes is actually very wide so it is one lake with two names. Either way Mille Lacs and Red are two very different fisheries and shouldn't be compared with each other. Bot...

I was wondering that as well. Everyone here knows that just because you take care of a few wood duck houses it does not make you a duck hunter.

And then we'd pound some more beer and discuss the sexist conspiracy of men having to leave the seat down despite the fact it'd make way more sense for women to put the seat up, how to destroy ISIS, duck hunting, why Somalis are the worst thing to happen to MN since drain tile, the last time we eac...

Re: A passionate duck hunter voices concerns about teal seas

He is still referencing the data from 1965. I'm not going to say only one year of current data debunks the one set of old data from MN, but guys in IA, MI, and WI are going to have to start shooting essentially anything but teal to get the averages anywhere close to those they cite from 50 years. It...
