Re: When Was The Last Time.....

Lyon county area. I was out in the area chasing pheasant for two days. Little stuff iced over. Never above 32 on my truck thermometer - which tends to be close. Larger ponds were open with ice on the bays. Saw plenty of ducks and geese on certain ponds. More so than usual. Enough roosters to keep me...

Re: There May Be Hope Yet...

A very long time ago I was out goose hunting with a buddy that had much less experience in the field. The birds were mostly working a field line and I walked over to a rock pile and was planning to pass shoot. Three birds subsequently came right into the decoys and my buddy drops all three. His lab ...

Re: Score One for the White Bear Lake Homeowners

Liberal judge wanting to have a landmark case upon her retirement made the ruling. That alone should be troubling. Furthermore her ruling impacts far more that WBL. Read the ruling. WBL lake level has returned high enough that the ruling is currently mostly meaningless. It is my understanding that W...

Re: Ducks

I have to agree with Hansen. Landowners used to see waterfowl hunters for maybe 30 - 45 days a year. Now they can see them 4 - 5 months with August and September goose seasons, later freeze-up falls extending hunting past Thanksgiving, and spring snow goose season.

Some just get worn out.

Re: Hen Houses

They are called feel good projects. I have done them and it did feel good. Weather and habitat (much of it weather/climate influenced) are the primary driving forces to a good fall flight. Most ducks still hatch and flight from traditional wetland areas. DU may make a small measurable impact under s...

I would even consider going back to giving money to DU or Delta long before handing money to MWA.

Keep going FF ... they are no better than they were a decade ago ... maybe worse.

Fowler should be banned from this site for promoting this crap.

Re: Vikings Tail gating

Good point trigger.

I do not attempt to shelter my kids from life ... but an explanation before hand is good.

Vikes fans have been pretty good to the opposing fans at games I have attended. Especially compared to the crap that occurs on the East Coast and in the Bay area.

Re: Vikings Tail gating

Park and walk in or light rail. Tailgating is mostly boozing (which is fine and all when you are with your friends), but with kids in tow on their first game ... I would get in to the stadium and enjoy everything in there. The tickets we have now are rather high end corporate and really good. Good m...
