Re: New MN DNR deer leader wants herds eradicated

Maniac, Your main points all have merit. But the last thing... I know you admit the selfishness behind it, but it just doesn't make sense. You want to shoot a bigger deer for the sense of accomplishment. BUT you want for it to be easier to do so. There already are deer in MN for which it is worth s...

Re: B.L.M. Protestors vs Crashed Ice Fans.....

Their problem is they don't even have a vision. There is no end game. Every response I've seen/read from their leader (whatever his name is/was) to that question, is like "we want to stop getting shot". That's about how far they've thought it through.

Re: Scientists confirm second, more intense form of Lyme disease

That sucks man, sorry to hear... Our dog got it and had the stereo-typical limp and wouldn't eat. Fortunately we had her vaccinated right away thereafter and she pulled through. I've since been seriously amazed at frontline. I've found deer ticks attached to her by the dozens that have curled up an...

Re: Scientists confirm second, more intense form of Lyme disease

I've heard that there's a lot of apprehension in the medical world to diagnose Lyme. I have a lot of holistic care people in my circles so maybe I just hear the conspiracy theories. Anyway, yeah, there are deer ticks like crazy the last few years. I pick easily 10 a day off my dog in April/May and S...

Re: Bluebills

Just promoting your guide business is all. ;) You think I made that up on how to tell the drakes apart? Even 40+ years ago the duck id hand books mentioned the primary differences. And since you do not believe me, then go argue with Cornell Ornithology Lab. https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guid...

Re: Bluebills

Discontent with my ignorance, I did the responsible thing and googled it ("it" being lesser vs greater scaup). The most obvious difference is, of course, the size. But without one of each for juxtaposition, it's not so straightforward. Then for coloring, it's even less clear. Greaters are ...

Re: Bluebills

Just curious, how do you know you're shooting lesser scaup in MN and WI? Not arguing, actually wondering. what I'm getting at is maybe you actually shoot greaters up here and those in TX were lessers. I don't really know the difference though. A bluebill is a bluebill to me. Some I kill are small, s...
