Re: MSHSL Transgender Athletes Policy

I think as long as they have a note from their parents and/or a counselor.... what stood out to me is they DO NOT need to provide proof of any hormone therapy or other conversion activities. I read that they also need a letter from a medical professional. STILL, what's the point of even having sepa...

Yeah, it's weird. Somewhat understandable that people give Al a lot of crap though. He says a LOT of stupid stuff, all the time, never admits he's wrong, and if left unquestioned, probably steers young, naive, ignorant people the wrong way.

But FF does seem obsessed with it.

Re: 2 fishermen fell through ice Long Lake

Yes I do. The bottom line is that there was no sun out. Thus air temp played the key, also the wind on Sat played a role. When the air temp alone can melt 4" of snow AND 1" of soil, well one has to to be right stupid to think the air can not melt ice too. It's okay to be wrong, Al. Yes, s...

Really?

So when the top 1" of soil unfroze after 4" of snow melted, so then ice is not capable of melting an inch too?

You do understand that snow, soil, and solid ice are all very different things, right?

Re: Ferguson

IMO, they should have delayed the decision until daylight hours and closer to Thursday. By then, some of the current protesters may have focused more on the holiday rather than rioting. Yeah, because the people rioting would think "well, we could burn down businesses, destroy cars, and shoot s...

Re: 2 fishermen fell through ice Long Lake

Well they did mention Hennepin Cty Sheriffs, so ... as this Long Lake in the report is also a city and a lake that's just west of Wayzata. Considering the 4" of snow that I had all melted Sat and Sun, you have to expect that at least an inch of ice melted too and the water is warm (35 or so) u...
