Re: Gimp

I thought I heard somewhere he turned himself in to Chicago PD this morning..... something about staging his own shakedown?

A legend dies

https://www.bowhunter.com/editorial/a-b ... ses/347033

If you ever read bowhunter magazine, you've likely read Dwight's column. A true titan in this industry and from the sounds of it, even a better man... RIP.

Re: U of M Seeks Funds for Early Detection of CWD

there's a ton of new concern over it now since a study that came out of Canada found a specific specie of primates that were able to contract it. Quite a bit of speculation though over the authenticity and methods used. https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/columnists/paul-smith/2017/06/28/macaque-s...

Re: Ruger 10/22

If you're going to stretch distance at all with it and dial any..... look at SWFA's SS scopes. They'll far outperform leupold, vortex, nikon, etc... All of those have great warranties, and all get heavily used. There's surprisingly not alot of reliable scopes out there to spin with and unless youre ...

Re: New DNR Commisioner

Obviously, there would be a balancing point where revenue would increase without losing numbers (hunter participation is decreasing anyway) I don't know where that is, but I can tell you it's North of $15. I guess $600 is too much, but current prices are too low. \ I'll buy that $15 is light. But a...

Re: New DNR Commisioner

I believe your theory is a hardcore money loser. I get the concept but at $600 (Per your words: 250 for one stamp, plus 350 for sg and best case scenario the other stamp stays the same) you'll be hard pressed to find a majority of waterfowl hunters anywhere to pay that, not because they can't afford...

Re: Ruger 10/22

It appears so but admittedly I've never pieced together a 10/22 both of mine started out as functioning rifles.

MSR's on the other hand I have and what you're showing appears to be the equivalent of a stripped upper and a BCG.

Re: Ruger 10/22

It's easier than buying a gun at Cabelas now (with taking numbers, and the nics counter, etc...). Get ahold of your FFL, make sure they know what you're planning (typically will charge $20ish processing fee, a good friend migh be less or not at all ;) ). If you're ordering from a place like whitaker...

Re: Ruger 10/22

Not really, but more surprised that the lead deposit build up would not have altered the accuracy more. There is little to no lead deposits. Most higher end ammo is lubed at the factory to prevent this. It generally takes 20+ shots to get your barrel conditioned to a new ammo after switching from o...
