got out Sat , w. central mn, took advantage of the nice weather.labs worked and pointed well, lots of fun to watch. beautiful day, saw more birds sat than all other times this year combined, I'll bet we saw 75 birds between driving around and hunting all day (mostly driving around) I had 2 roosters ...

this thread is getting a little off track it seems, Id say the big 3 things I'd recommend are scout, scout and then scout some more, you got time, find the birds, watch the birds & their day to day habits etc. become a duck basically

I'm sorry but I find that incredibly sad, I've always viewed hunting both waterfowl and deer as a great friendly community, I've had guys drive by and ask how we did and I never hesitated to tell the truth and neither did my buddies. It just seems selfish to try and "Hog" the land, I know...
