Re: Geese

Yeah. It don't seem like a lot but for that area I have seen maybe 100 geese all fall. There really isn't anywhere for them to roost until you get to the river bottom or up by willmar both if which are 25 miles or so away.

Geese

I work south of Olivia MN and I saw 500-700 geese migrating this afternoon. Hopefully with the better weather in southern MN they will hold up there for a while. Also I saw one flock of 50-70 geese had 8-10 ducks mixed into the flock. Dont recall ever seeing that before.

Re: Texas rigged decoys

I don't use a bag. I put the decoys in the caribeener then I tie an overhand knot in the lines as close to the decoys as possible. It makes it easier for throwing them over your shoulder when walking in. The ones I use are Cherokee Sport brand. Got em for $11 a dozen at Wally World. First season and...

What do you do?

Like the little says, what do you do to support your addiction or obsession with waterfowl hunting. I work at a feedlot that has about 8,000-10,000 head of cattle. Long hours and I work every other weekend but I love what I do and it pays decent. I really want to go back to school though. That way I...

So, whats your hunting dog?

I got a chocolate lab named coco who is 5 1/2. She is about 90lbs and will break through the thickest cattails with out slowing down. Got her at 4 months old and only paid $150. She was originally $700. Only had her out twice on a lead rope when she was about 6-7 months and threw a bumper with pheas...
