Re: SCOUTING!

Next question, do you still shoot lead for waterfowl? Yes, absolutely. I said I clawed my way back from insanity, not kept going towards it. No more beer, smoke and narcotics! Lame You misread what I wrote. Only beer, smoke, and narcotics! How does the new Chick feel about stealing Sun Chips??

Re: SCOUTING!

I was up around Detroit Lakes at the Wife's family cabin last weekend. Just going here to there saw probably 10-15 harvested fields and not a single goose using them yet. One did have a nice Crow feed though.

I think I'll be dove hunting Opening Day.

Re: The "big push" and tail end of the duck season for 2016

I drove with the wife and kid to my parents place just North of Brainerd on Thanksgiving for the weekend. I saw scattered ducks and geese on the way up but no real big concentrations. All the lakes North of Brainerd were still WIDE open. I shot a couple grouse, but didn't see any ducks or hear any g...

Re: This coming weekend is going to be crowded for the "big push""

Well I hope everyone is not getting their hopes up too much for a storm system we should have got in late Oct. My guess is the biggest winners on this will be the goose hunters in the big spots (Fergus, LQP & Rochester).

I will be looking forward to the reports on Monday.

Re: SBE II

It's ALL about cleaning the rails. Q-tip & Hoppes 9. I suspect Bullet and others that don't have problems know this. I am yet to get my hands on a 'flawed' Benelli I couldn't make sing by cleaning the rails.
