Re: Post a picture you took in the last week.

I would definitely go for a bear rug like yours- tanned, no felt. But I don’t have a desire to shoot one. Maybe I can get one from a souvenir shop in Alaska someday!

Re: Indians...Sioux In Particular

I would also leave in a heartbeat. Unfortunately my wife opened a business that she’s committed to for a minimum of 7 years and our parents are aging. We could move anywhere along I29 and be close enough to our parents. I sure hope she’s willing to move once our daughters are out of high school… if ...

Anyone knowledgeable on baseball cards?

I have a lot of stuff in my basement… just for transparency , there are no legendary MN H20fowlers down there… this post pertains to two of the things in my basement: A box of baseball cards and the dream that they could be worth more than $100. I’m guessing I probably have about 500 but I really ne...

Re: Winter?

I was on a small lake and Plantagenet by Bemidji on Saturday. Both had a measured foot of ice.

I think most lakes are still walkable in the north half of the state but you could read the reports in outdoor news and then just see what you find. The past 48 hours have been pretty chilly

Re: Winter?

The two things I like about fishing are the same as the two things I like about deer hunting. 1) figuring out the puzzle 2) Eating the proceeds of figuring out the puzzles Doesn’t really matter what time of year. Wife and I ice fished a lot before we had kids. I miss going out frequently enough to s...

Maybe Nershi can bring back a wife/maid/cook/housekeeper! Good luck fishing and post pics when you return.

Re: Delta Waterfowl

I’m not really serious about stocking pheasants and mallards but I do think fish stocking is stupid. Why should hunters have to be stuck with natural production but anglers get fish stocking? You look at the money that’s wasted on walk in areas, etc… doesn’t add one pheasant to the population. Could...

Re: Delta Waterfowl

I think it’s pretty safe to say that without conservation groups our natural resources would be in a lot worse shape. Arguing DU/Delta or good/bad isn’t really the issue. If you like a group or have any chance or reason to help out, you are doing right by the resource. Of course projects without mai...
