I did get it out once. Worked great shot a couple out of it. I am going to build a blind for it next year. Time to hunt right now. Fowler the part of the boat under the splash rails is underwater so no need to paint. Plus I think it looks sharper that way. I have a couple bundles of camo netting tha...

Anyone seeing many birds in the central part of the state? I put on quite a few miles today and didnt see much for consentrations just a couple mallards and woodies here and there.

I then put the boat back together, added a headlight, and a few cans of spray paint later we have a big water hunting machine.

Big water duck boat

I gutted out my old fishing boat and brought it to a guy and had a new transom put in and he re-rivited some rivets to seal it up because it had leaked.

Then I put a marine grade plywood floor in and riveted it down...

Day one. Few birds around but was so hot had to end the day way earlier than we wanted to.

Day two. Temps plummeted and winds were fierce. Cans are down already and the widgeon cost me $325. First one I've ever shot and it was a beauty :mrgreen:

I agree with OTckids post and my only question is this...why didnt the DNR have their 10 fish limit on Mille Lacs but not allow any fish over 30" to be harvested. That way the spearers and anglers that wanna keep a bunch of pike for dinner have their fun and the trophy fish can be left alone be...
