Re: Skeg repair?

"Maybe the manufacturer ships them out with aluminum for a reason....like having the prop break before a bunch of other more expensive shit does..." . Say what you want about them but as popular as they've gotten, I know a metric ton of people now that have gone the economy route and boug...

Re: Hunting 2023

What’s the band info? Anyone see the letter to the editor section in the outdoor news about $20+ million the state dnr hasn’t filed for from the feds for wmas? Haven’t looked into it but doesn’t surprise me. If you're talking about the feds freezing grants because of inappropriate logging on wma's ...

Re: Duck Clubs

I've gotten through a large portion of this book now (maybe 2/3rds), still have lots to go. Some really detailed historical accounts of some camps, surprised there was a culture of duck hunting camps worth documenting in st. louis county. If this is an interesting topic to you, it's worth the $$ for...

Re: Hunting 2023

After several "ahh haa" moments over the last 10 yrs or so of bowhunting I think my and anyone's best course (again assuming you're chasing one or a handful of specific deer) of action is to: a) find out EXACTLY where they are bedding. Not the area, or the swamp or a general spot but if po...

Re: Hunting 2023

well not all of what you said is true.... first if you think of deer hunting from Mid Sept-De31 deer definitely do have entirely different habits and to say that the more you sit the better is good in theory, there are still better times to shoot one than others. That's not my opinion, you can look ...

Re: Post a picture you took in the last week.

I’m guessing he’s wondering what 30 cal offering you’re shooting? I shoot a healthy mix of factory and hand loads. Used to be exclusive hand loads but get some steep discounts through a pro form program and can’t reload match ammo for what I can buy factory for. My experience with factory is when yo...

Re: Post a picture you took in the last week.

I do have some of those green tipped Remington scioricllo bullets but haven't shot those much so not sure how they would perform through my gun. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk They had moose in mind when the scirocco was built. It's harder than a partition/accubond. If it shoots well it would...

Re: Post a picture you took in the last week.

even then I'm not sold. If you have 2 of the same animal, identical in every way and you send one mono through both lungs and one rapidly expanding, fragmenting bullet which one will expire faster. The answer will always be the one with the bigger hole which mono's do a very poor job at creating. Mo...

Re: Post a picture you took in the last week.

i've never had a problem getting barnes to group well..... Getting them to consistently perform terminally has been another matter.

Several bulls and deer and barnes have been about 50% acceptability for me. YMMV
