Re: Adulting

Two year old and four year old. And a new job with very limited vacation. I’m about done beating my head against the wall hunting public around Bemidji. Haven’t had a satisfying hunt in years... but I have to admit I’m picky too. F My dad is 71 and continues to go hunting. His spot hasn’t produced ...

Re: Adulting

DON'T TURN IN THE MAN CARD! Compromise is key, plan the hunting calendar way in advance. Like beginning of season through October. Keep the lawn mowed/leaves picked up. Take any opportunity, i.e. leave Thursday night, back Friday afternoon, that you can. One question though you'll need to be clear ...

Re: Adulting

I’ve been out twice this season, the first 2 days of early goose. We had an awesome field and killed a ton of birds, so if that’s it for this year, so be it. My wife is wrapping up a year long process of studying for her CFP exam and we have 2 young kids at home. My weekends have been spent watchin...

I hate to wish time away but I do look forward to them getting older get excited to take them with on some of these adventures. It has started a little already ...

Adulting

This year has been a year of little hunting due to having young kids (4th on the way in Feb too) and starting a new company. I won't lie I always think it won't be that bad, I will see if I can drive around with the kids a few times to scout and find a good couple of hunts and I can look forward to ...

Re: Big Push #1 Updates

. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro I had this happen to me this weekend for the first time when I was goose hunting. First shell fired (I missed) second shot thought it was just the first hull stuck in the gun but I quickly realized that the first hull was laying in front of the blind and whe...

Re: Big Push #1 Updates

[quote="Drunk_Dynasty"] Should have had our 18 but I spent 30 minutes in the morning searching for a stick to push a wad that didn’t clear back on it of the barrel so that was wack. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Been there before. I would be real suspicious of the rest of...

Re: MN DNR Weekly Waterfowl Migration Report

I'm not that far from Rice Lake NWR refuge and there have been a lot of years where I pound the ringers. For whatever reason some years they seem to pile up on the refuge but not frequent other stops in the area. The rice lake I'll hunt...as in it looks like a wheat field in late August, you can't ...
