Re: Any Wildlife Wood Projects?

Nice. Someday I'll buy a place with some property where I can manage some wildlife.

Re: Any Wildlife Wood Projects?

Anyone putting together Woodie boxes, hen Mallard nesting platforms, Bluebird boxes etc? So far, I’ve got 3-Woodie boxes, 3-squirrel boxes, 5-woodpecker boxes, and material for 10-Bluebird boxes. Most will be going up in a wooded area near the river that flows through the local neighborhood. Others...

Re: MN DNR waterfowl survey

I filled it out.

I hope we get a true teal season, not a bonus teal set-up. A bulk of the BWT's are gone by opener.

Re: The Walruz cancels Thanksgiving

I live in the SW Metro. Not liberal yuppie central but not super conservative as well. Since the mask mandate, I'm not sure I've seen more than a couple people without masks on: target, lowes, Sam's, hyvee etc.

Re: Sports Abyss

My passion for sports is at an all time low. I literally could care less between our shit teams, them supporting felons etc. I could care less.

Re: Migration

Still a good amount of birds around but very very stale: call shy, spinner shy, shore shy, blind shy, decoy shy etc. We tried some different stuff this weekend and it worked, one day we set out 2.5 dozen goose floaters and a few mallard decoys.

Re: Election

Mile stone events the media doesn't even try to hide like today pfizer announcing a 90% effective vaccine. Our country will be back to normal by April. I'm sure Biden will lock us down for a month or two, mask mandate nationally, etc. He will regarded as a true leader by his people and the media, Co...

Re: Migration

I thought this weekend would have been better, got my @ss kicked. Super stale birds, saw plenty but most would work the middle and land in the middle. It's time to get creative with this weeks weather in the high 60's all week. Might try goose decoys, 6 decoys, zero spinners or 5 spinner who knows.

Re: Migration

I checked back on accuweather for November temps. We have a few 22/8 days in mid november. Ouch. I still had some good hunts after that on creeks with movement.
