Bailey, the slough across from danvers WMA is pretty full again. The biggest issue with the WMA is that the state cannot / will not add any more elevation to the outlet dam. I can ask around, but I think the elevation was set as part of a deal with area land owners when they shut the pumping station...

We had no problem shooting limits on sloughs north of marsh when I was a kid (early-mid 90's) basically birds that filtered off the big water from feeding or pressure are what we targeted. Any land owner who wants to can sue for an injunction. I think there is one other court case making its way through Clark county's courthouse right now, and it will be ruled on similarly; same judge. Not sure which slough that case is associated with though.

The last court case that was seeking to prevent public access was overturned somewhat at the court of appeals. Parks vs. Cooper in 2004. Which is why we shoot 6 man limits on MN opener just hunting drainage ditches. The birds get busted out of the sloughs and go right to the ditches.
