Currently I have several Mallard Hen Nests on mud flats. And per the NWS/NOAA outlook, I'll have many more that way by this summer.
Plain and simple the drought this year will hurt waterfowl production through out MN, WI, SD and ND.
Yes an occasional drought is helpful so the mud flats crack and the cattail seed enters it so when the rains return new emergent vegetation grows. I get that.
Gents you best be buying mud motors while you can as I think you'll need them this fall.
