Mr. Heater Big Buddy Heater. Gets a little warm for my Clam so I’m just downsizing to the buddy. Works great, comes with 2 fresh propane bombs. $100 cash. Located in Red Wing, MN, will meet within reasonable distance.

So a Big buddy has 3 heat settings: 4,000/9,000/18,000 BTU/HR
A Hunting Buddy has 2: 6,000/12,000 BTU/HR
A Portable Buddy has 2: 4,000/9,000 BTU/HR.
A Little Buddy has 1 of 3,800 BTU/HR

So I fail to see your logic of going to a smaller unit as it will produce less heat, as it won't. The upside of the Big Buddy is when you need the extra heat (below zero and a wind), it is available.
