Never really had an issue with mosquitoes if I'm high enough up in a tree, I dunno if I'm just lucky or what. Get one or two here and there but not enough to bother me.

I'll probably skip opener today, doing a bunch of landscaping before the rain. Probably try to make it out tomorrow evening after the Vikings game

Anyone that bowhunts should be out right now. They are out moving around.

New kid on the block. Showed up at 9 am and was still there when I checked the camera at 5:20 pm.

They really seem to like that pink Himalayan salt rock.ImageImage

Had the most pictures so far this last time I checked it. But it looks like they are hitting corn more now with corn being as dry as it is.

Didn't see a thing last night. Wasn't too surprised though since where I was located if they didn't come within 15 yards down the funnel I was hunting, I wasn't going to see them with all the corn in yet.

Nothing here either. Like MLDS my cameras have slowed (mostly over alfalfa and beans), and bigger deer are mostly nocturnal. Last decent daylight activity for anything bigger than baskets was 9/8 @ 9:00 in the morning.

Lots of doe/fawn yet, beans are turning and I suspect most of the deer are moving to acorns which would make sense as I have a large oak stand right next to bedding cover so they don't have to travel far at all. Moving some cameras this afternoon.

Took advantage of the wind and system moving in and got another stand hung in a cottonwood grove last night. Small creek running through it with 50 yards of CRP on each side. Grove is about a half acre in size. It's a travel corridor once rut hits so I don't hunt it often but it can be a good spot at the right time of the year.
