This time I took my middle brother Luke out for 2nd season on Saturday morning. Within 45 minutes of sitting down, we had this gobbler spotted in a tree about 100yds out. After watching him for a while and giving him a soft call on the slate, he flew down into the corn field and with one more soft call, he took off at a dead run for our decoys. He spurred the full strut b-mobile decoy a couple times before Luke put him down at 38 paces. We were packed out and on the road by 6:30! Luke's first turkey ended up having just over 1" spurs, an 8" beard, and weighed in at 23 lbs.
