3 days sitting in the rain on a metro hunt and not a single deer seen. Took a break for 3 hours today during the heavier rain and there was a fresh scrape on the trail when I got back.

That sucks, but echoes my hunts lately. Took a lot of restraint not to go today. Hoping for much better action with this cool down and drier airmass

Hell...I dunno everyone I am talking to says they saw bucks walking around this morning. Chasing, getting hit by cars, etc. Its windy as hell but if they want to move they want to move...considering going out

Just about smoked a 160-180" buck last night on the way home from a diver hunt. Standing on the shoulder in a 30 mph wind.

Nothing haha. Think I am done hunting hard, get back to working hard. I will still go a few times but not going to go too seriously anymore. One doe on camera during shooting hours in the last 5 days. Probably spend some days this week looking for mallard fields

Is this you and your deer Swartzy on the 1st photo? If so, nice long times on that rack.

If we get a warmer December I'll pick it back up. I really haven't been overly successful late in November, in fact I don't think I've ever shot a whitetail past 11/18ish until the calendar flips to December....All the "pros" say post rut Nov is such a great time but I've just never done well until December when they really get back on food hard

Unfortunately all the deer leave our area for the most part once December hits. I usually see bucks chasing does on our property through thanksgiving, then they usually disappear. No real good water and my food plots are small so not enough to keep them around. I will probably go Tuesday before the front comes in, but pretty minimal hope at this point.
