Re: 2014 Archery Season

This hog was on my trail cam all july and august , eating all the corn, salt and beats that he could. I literally got 50 pics of this thing. When bow season opened I took the camera down, just to stop all disturbance on the property. My dad and I have step foot on this 200 acre farm 3 times since sep.1 . When we did hunt those 3 times, we sprayed our boots several times on the way to the stand and on the way out. Trying not to alarm this deer at all.

Anyway at 6:10 last night he stood up in his bed , not 60 yards from his tree , the buck was heading towards the stand and turned to walk broad side at 30 yards, The arrow hit the opposite shoulder and he went straight down. IT was my old mans biggest buck with bow ever. And im hoping it will make p&y. He was pumped, the coors lights took a beating last night!

Congrats! Never been able to get a chance at a big one this early in the year. They start appearing around Oct 20th for me.

I've been noticing rubs and scrapes popping up over the last week. Still getting daytime pictures of bucks as well. Just have to dial in on one.
