2014 Archery Season

Well the season starts tomorrow so I figured I would start a thread where you can share your stories and pictures from this season.

Will be my first day now hunting tomorrow, should be interesting to say the least

Saw 4 walking out to the stand see if anything comes into the clover

Had a doe come into the plot last night and was at about 20 yards for half hour. Felt good to be out again.

1st. hunt this yr. spooked deer going into the stand and on the way out, only saw 1 doe at 20 feet from the stand, and a coon at 20yrds.

Didn't make it out this weekend unfortunately.

Went out Friday the 19th and saw a doe but good god was it hot and the mosquito's were terrible. I was dripping sweat. With the hot weather this weekend didn't even attempt it. Looks to be cooling off this week so I'll get out again. Farmer just tilled the field Wednesday and there was a decent amount of tracks this weekend when I went to the pond.

Made it out three times last week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings.

Monday - 5 does and fawns.
Wednesday - three does, two fawns and two up and coming 8's.
Friday - 2 does and two very nice toms.

With our extended waterfowl close in the south I will be bow hunting as much as possible in between fall field work. We started beans on Saturday and now bean straw bales and manure until the next field is ready to harvest.

Went out last night, some deer were moving early. Had a doe come in about 5:45, hung around half hour and went into the woods. Two fawns came out about 6:00 and hung out til close. Doe popped back out about the last 15 min or so. All three were dumber than rocks, my scent was blowing directly at all 3 and I managed to un nock my arrow, lower my bow, crawl down the tree, and walk out of the food plot without them running away. They were within 20 yards of my tree.

I was out last night as well on a new property. Saw three does and bunch of coons.


Buddy missed two does this weekend haha.
