Thanks for the info!

Went out tonight, not a ton of sign or pics on the cam. Had 2 yearlings come into the food plot about 4:30

Nothing all weekend. Need some winter weather to get them back into the bottoms. Tough killing deer that hang out in the middle of an 80 all day until dark.

Deer were on the move last night. My buddy stuck a biggin and he saw a couple other bucks out and about. The weather coming must have got em moving.

I was in AZ last weekend, gave it one last crack tonight. Last picture was 6 days ago. Didn't see anything. Grabbed my cam on the way out so it doesn't get stolen by snowmobilers, I'm finished. Kind of a disappointing year. Good luck to anybody still trying to make it out

I was out Saturday evening but my hunt was ruined by 6 trespassing snowmobilers. Was a beautiful evening too.

Had 60 pictures on camera in my plot in a week and a half; only 5 were during the day. I'll try to get out one more time this week hoping they are back to their normal winter pattern.

Hey fellas, I ended up filling another tag , the last day of smokepole season. It was a dead calm night , half hour before dark I heard it coming my direction. He stopped at 40 yards on a trail, then turned and walked right to my stand. Shot it at ten yards. He ran about 50 then fell. The power belt was completely mushroomed. Very happy with that.

Found this buck dead last weekend. Coyotes had it cleaned up. I have a few trail cam pics of this deer from August and September. Never did see it in person. Not sure how it died, poaching has been a problem in the past.

I put out a bunch of corn the day after muzzeloader season , and put up the trail camera. Had a few random does and fawns. They always head to the winter areas , some of them go 5 miles away to a big timber area. Jumped 3 fawns the other day while pheasant hunting. With this snow, they will migrate with the rest of them.

Dang man sorry to hear about your nice deer, this time of year it's almost certainly a poached deer or wounded that predators got to. Winter/Snow isn't really deep enough for yotes to start taking down mature healthy deer, unless you're in wolf country?

Are you a powerbelt fan for life? My experience is they work for tails' but shrapnel like an SOB on anything like an elk. They qualify for CO's elk under the "no sabot, no scope and loose powder" law but still refuse to shoot them as they just don't hold together on thick skinned game... If you're interested, I have some pretty fascinating load data stuff I could send your way with different loads and working with primarily blackhorn 209. If you're a powerbelt and 2 or 3 pellet kinda guy that's fine too. As a self proclaimed tinkerer though I'm always trying different loads :D

Nice buck tho
