Anybody been making it out?

Did my first sit last night, had a doe and fawn come in. Also had some grunting going on in the distance but never saw it.

My buddy experienced the same thing last night, does and fawns around him. Then he heard grunting and a buck stepped out. He let an arrow fly but think it hit low. We looked today and found some blood but it ended very quickly. Hopefully he didn't injury it too bad

yes... getting out 3 -4 times a week (first two weeks of season in September are generally (other than rut in Nov) my favorite time to get out in terms off pattern able deer). Seeing lots of doe/fawns, a few small bucks have gotten passed. Been hearing just a real small amount of grunting, rubs popped before season even started but in the last week seeing a scrape or two on field edges with low hanging branches. I have a couple shooters on this farm, just need one of them to do what these 1YO's are doing

Didn't see anything last night, jumped 3 walking back to the truck

Nothing tonight either. Quick set up my ground blind in a high traffic area as quietly as possible, maybe sit there next weekend

it's been slow this past week, nearing 70 degrees didn't help and we had some wind..... not much for deer activity observed and cameras have tapered.... buddies are talking about how "they gotta be thinking about it" but experience tells me we're still a little ways out. The little activity I've seen has been better in mornings than evenings. Slight dip in temps on thurs, would be a good day/evening to sit.

Got some bucks sparring on camera in the last couple weeks. Mostly 1.5 year olds but did get a couple pictures of a couple big boys locking antlers.

Sister just totaled her car hitting a big buck coming to meet us tonight in WI

Couple small bucks dead on the highway coming across WI today. I will be sitting every day work doesn't get in the way starting Saturday

After duck hunting this morning walked the edge of my food plot, 3 fresh scrapes since last weekend
