Didn't see anything tonight, looking like corn will stay up through the end of gun season sunday so hopefully he'll stay protected

Friday afternoon at 3PM 20' off the rural area suburban road a 1/2 mile from my home I saw a 7pt with its tongue hanging out and drooling and it's nose next to the does rear end. Regardless of the temps, the does appear to be in heat.

The temp isn't what the rut goes off of. It's the amount of daylight in the days. It's got a fancy name...photosomethingoranother or some chit like that.

No one shot any more this weekend, I had a decent one bed down 60 yards from me but it was thick and it was on the crest of a hill so couldn't shoot.

Weather is finally good today but I have to work late tonight. Hit it hard the rest of the week as this front approaches and hope I can get another crack at that big one. All I am thinking about for the next 2 weeks is getting that deer

Still 200 acres of standing corn on and surrounding my property. Never had corn this late, see if it's a help or a hindrance. He must be having combine issues I imagine he would prefer to get it out before this storm comes through but not looking likely

That 200 acres of corn could be there all winter if you get the snow......
