2018 Bow Hunting Reports

Anybody go despite the heat? Can't imagine many did, I spent the day cutting the rest of my food plots, activity on camera pretty light just does and fawns

Yuck no. heat advisory, humid and bugz.

I'll be out most of the week though with the impending cool off and north winds. September has been historically my best time besides November. I was excited to get out for opener, then I saw the forecast.

I drove up to Alexandria and shot trap on Saturday and seen 1 truck parked next to the woods that was possibly bowhunting, way too warm.....and only seen 1 group of goose hunters as well........

Ya would have been brutal, ive gone low 80's bit no way I would have gone this weekend.

Days this week are the types of days I love to bow hunt, cloudy cool, little mist. Beautiful

Haven't been out yet. The 6" of rain last week flooded all of my best areas so won't be hunting for a while until they get back into their routines through there. Hopefully combining by the weekend anyhow.

Still not much on camera don't know what the deal is, probably traveling a bit different paths since it's beans and not corn this year

Only been out once but have had some daytime buck activity on cameras. Flooding again is messing up all of my spots.

Let this guy walk at 15yards for the second time. Lots of other small bucks moving. Had 3 come in last night not long after some doe bleats. Might hang some doe in heat soon.
