Spot and Stalk?

Mon Dec 30, 2013 2:35 pm

Anyone tried spot and stalk bow hunting with snow camo? I've got 2 days to fill my tag and may consider getting aggressive.

There is some public around here that has standing corn that I thought about throwing on the coyote camo and trying it. Don't think I am going to this year but maybe in future.

If it weren't -30 it wouldn't be bad. With the melt the other couple days tho, the snow is extra crispy so you'll either be silent on top, or extra loud breaking thru. If your luck is anything like mine, you'll be quite up to about 50 yards away and break thru

I've done it in the past when we've had more snow and it wasn't so loud. Have had success in past years. If your like me though shot with your winter camo on first. Mine is so bulky the sleeve gets in the way of the string when releasing the arrow.
Ask Al how to successfully nest wood ducks, see you next season.

I have a band I put over my coat to hold it tight against my arm so the string doesn't slap my coat
