Bow Hunting Reports...Whats Left of the Season Anyway

Some may have noticed on the other site I'm a pretty avid bow hunter...

Season is winding down on my property, always slows up once the freeze hits. Weather has been poor to make it out a lot...windy and cold. We are supposed to have a stretch of fairly calm days the next week...I am going to get out as many days as possible for one last hoorah and see if anything is still around...plan on going tonight.

Anyone else still going out? Greatwhite?

Absolutely!

I plan on hunting as much as possible starting tomorrow until Sunday night. All I have in mind now is a doe so a buck would be just a bonus. I'm ready to get meat in the freezer and move on to the next thing (ice fishing, coyotes).

I honestly cant give much of a report until I make it out. I haven't seen too many deer but I haven't all year long either. Will be checking my camera in my food plot tonight after work to help me determine where to sit in the morning. I had one buck survive slug season but the picture wasn't the best so couldn't tell how nice he was.

I will give more updates as the weekend progresses.

I'll try to get out one more time. The spot I have this year really sucks and have seen very few deer. I'll make it out one more time to pull all my stands. At least my son shot his first bow kill this year at the age of 13. One deer is enough for us.

Stopped and checked my camera over my lunch break. Lots of does but no bucks. Batteries died on Saturday though so that was pretty disappointing..

I enjoy the stick n string as well. I have a doe bonus tag to fill yet. Hoping to get out before Dec 31 rolls around as I am on daddy day care until Jan 22. It's all good he's starting to get fun and interactive.

Maple lake what general area do you hunt.? Any big boys on camera?

I bow hunt central wright county. I have big ones from past years, unfortunately in august my 3 game cams were stolen off my property. I bought a new one a month ago but just didn't get around to setting it up.

Didn't see anything tonight...might be done on my property. Once they group up, they disappear from my land. Prolly go out over the weekend and next week but don't have high hopes.
