Their antlers are growing big time right now

Mon Jun 23, 2014 11:47 pm

I had 2 bucks run past me at the job today in Bloomington. 1 buck had 6 nice tines already and the other 8. Another 2 months from now they should be dandy sets on them. But what surprised me is how small they were body wise, almost skinny and their hoof prints were small too. But their antlers were much bigger size wise for their bodies.

I wonder if anyone is setting trail cameras yet?

So are you suggesting their hoofs shrank due to lack of food over this harsh winter?

Oh what a funny man we have in our midsts!

No more along the line of the mentality of big racks usually means a big track. Not at all so in this case. It reminds of years ago when I shot a 190lb dressed weight of a buck, it had a itty bitty rack with 3 points on each side the size of my fingers. Just the opposite of the 2 bucks.

Maybe someone is feeding them that antler growth food.
