Weather has nothing to do with being prime.

Yeah your right should of said that differently. I know mostly based on sunlight and ,lat. and long. affect and hormonal balance. Used to trap alot as a kid and took some years off (20) or so and slowly going to get back into it again. I myself haven't trapped this early in years. Think I'm going to set a few DP's this weekend and see what kind of results I get. I only have this weekend then busy with work again and fortunately have some time off again just in time for the Nov. opener. that is if the ducks and deer don't pull me away.

Word is coyotes and rats are going to be the money this year. Not much for rats around but I took a walk today and there seems to be alot of coyote and coon sign this year.

Monday when I was out duck hunting I noticed rats are starting to build and saw quite a few food beds.

Have seen more than enough coons and coyotes in my area this year.
