How long do you guys wait to hunt a area again after getting busted by a coyote?
My son and I seen a big yote duck hunting this fall and set up on him today.
He had come over the hill 75 yards away winded us and slipped back into the cattails.
I had to pass on the shot because I would of had the muzzle in front of my sons face, And he just had a 12gauge. ( too long of a shot).
I hope to get this thing he is one of the biggest coyotes that I have ever seen.

I'm no expert, but if it were me, I would try it again in a couple of days. You must be in an established range that he frequents with some confidence.
To improve you odds, I would try baiting him with old freezer meet or table scraps for a few days. Maybe put up a trail cam as well. Sooner or later, I'd bet that he will come to it.
