Does anyone on here hunt bobcats, either with a dog or calling?

I ll usually focus a few sets of calling them each year. Just seems to test the patience and the cats seem to be so picky. Where a coyote set can be in and out and 30 mins, Cats might take you 45+.

I ve found being in good THICK habitat and shotgunning them is the best way to go. Snow on the ground is dam near essential, and be prepared for a "sit off" with one of these pussies.

How far north does a person need to go to see bobcats?

I know that there's a pretty decent population in Iowa, I've heard of 1-2 over the last 20 years ago near where I live.

I'd like to find a place where I could take 1 week next year and either shoot one or trap one. I think it would be awesome to get one within state.
