Feller I met on a different forum has what's called his "Theory of a medium". If you compromise to the middle, you don't get either of what you want. If you and the lady are deciding food, and you want Chinese and she wants Italian, pick one or the other so that at least one of you gets what you want. If you go with German food to compromise, neither of you gets what you want. If you want a camper, get a camper. If you want a fish house, get a fish house. One that does both, will do neither well.

I can agree on that theory, 95% of the time. I do think that ice houses make great campers as well. Get a window air conditioning unit and it's everything you need that a camper will have in my opinion. Most guys already have tv, stove, etc., in their ice houses so it doubles great as a camper. Just my opinion though.
we like to rough it a little. However I am lucky we didn't end up with the 8x16 the wife was getting carried away at the end. That is no lie either I went small because finished it weighs only 2200lbs vs 4200 for the 8x16. All aluminum frame a little nervous about that however seems solid. Also look at that chrome plate and rims !
