Ice fishing

Will we ever get good ice this December in S MN? As it's not looking to be the case this year with the El Nino' weather pattern. Heck it was 48 yesterday and 50 by mid week again for the TC area. The 3" of snow that I had will be almost gone by the end of today. So you can guess what the ice on the shallow lakes is doing.

I read that in northern MB they are talking +35 above average temps this week. Likely no Ice road trucking up there this winter if the weather pattern persists.

At this rate we will need to break out the boats to go pan fish or walleye fishing VS using our flips.

Sketchy ice this winter. Yesterday under 6" of snow there was 7" of ice, where there was no snow 14". Yet the dipchits were driving out full sized truck out on the ice.

I finally got a meal of 1/2 lb crappies last night. Nice to see the screen like this, as it's been a tough winter for fishing when too often they have not been biting.
