Those that are in the far Northern reaches, will the ice be good enough to walk on?
This year it seems weird as the Opener is way too quick as I was ice fishing a month ago... Minnetonka the ice went off May 5th (tied for latest ice off).

Ice is already forming on the lakes in N MN over the weekend. Some places will not even have 6 months of ice free this year.
This year will likely go down on record as 1 of the shortest open water fishing seasons in MN.
