Winter fishing 18-19

People are starting to drive out around here. I’m guessing some one will go down soon. I’ve found enough spots with 5-6 inches surrounded by 10-12 to make me wait. They’ll probably be some swimmers down on the harbor based on the ice report I got today.

The fish are cooperating well so far this year.

It looks like the spot with those perch. Takem must have told everyone.

I fished ‘the spot’ yesterday and another ‘the spot’ this morning. Fortunately you need a certain bait and some finesse to catch em consistently. I always love when I hear ‘they’re down there but they ain’t biting’. I prefer the fish are finicky so no one else can pluck em out.

Never bothered me to fish around people but this is 13 feet deep or less and everyone has a wheeler that never shuts off and has a genny running so they can watch direct tv in the castle. The fish just don't stick around long enough to finness them

No because everyone ends up coming out and making noise from hour before dark till dark during the week. At least the weekends people are settled in during the magic hour. Damned if you do damned if you dont.

Limit of 12-14" in a half hour. Gut hooking them with a #4 ripping rap. 5 guys 5 limits.

Yeah southern mn farmers are really busy during the week this time of year.

Only thing they’re doing is double dipping limits out of polluted lakes before they fly off to Florida
