Stay warm tonight.

Tue Dec 10, 2013 12:30 am

The way it sounds is a lot of people out here in the sticks are losing power tonight with this wind and all the ice on the lines and trees. Had some flickering here a few times. Keep the candles and mr. heaters handy.

Painting a house now and all the windows are out for painting.

The plastic did not work well. Lots of condensation on the plastic :-(
Buckthorn removal is easy with the buckthorn baggie :-)

We lost power Sat night. This stuff never happens during the day. The power would dive every ten seconds. Xcel showed up at 11PM then disappeared until 2 AM. They installed a new transformer between 3 AM & 5 AM. That had to be insanely cold work. There were 3 guys and it looked like they were taking turns outside prepping the devices. I had unplugged all the electronics, refrigerator, freezer and furnace at 10PM and nothing got damaged. We have a wood stove, so I fed that all night.
