I hope some DNR heads roll with this one.

So pretty much just said DNR is at fault. no new water permits and white bear will continue to shrink because you can't stop the old permits from taking water. So nothing will change for the lake.

Bummer. I was hoping to see it down to a little mud puddle with four dogfish and three muskies slithering around in it while all the 612 white short wearing pukes ran around trying to get their sailboats floating and crying in their umbrella drinks and Kowalski's pasta salad.

Liberal judge wanting to have a landmark case upon her retirement made the ruling. That alone should be troubling. Furthermore her ruling impacts far more that WBL. Read the ruling.

WBL lake level has returned high enough that the ruling is currently mostly meaningless.

It is my understanding that WBL actually has a man made outlet to keep lake homes from flooding on the high side. If true this should be permanently sealed and the lake allowed to go as high as it can before the next down turn. They can build retaining walls.

Hopefully DNR and City of WBL have enough to appeal.

I drove by in early June and was pretty low yet, unless it's changed in the last 3 months but we haven't had that much heavy rainfall. Still lots of 100+' docks when I drove by
