Are sturgeon anchor and wait, or is it a trolling motor, contour following, vertical line presentation?

When we sturgeon fish we anchor and wait. Usually on mud flats. Crawlers always seem to be the most productive. Tight to the bottom.

Anchor. And bring a couple extras, just in case you really hook up on some rocks

^^^^that's awesome.

Looks a lot like catfishing.

..... And learnd the lesson on anchors my first trip up.... Also, an aluminum hull run along the shore ice will give you a real life example of his the Titanic sank.

From what I've been told, and subsequently experienced, you should have a selection of 2-7oz no roll sinkers depending on how strong the current is given the spring runoff. Bait shops have typically had good real time reports on everything pertaining to the sturgeon season
