DD you ever fish the steelhead runs on Michigan or superior? If you like fishing the driftless area I would think you’d like the run. There are some dandy fish to be had.

Brule opened today. Probably mostly hold over fish now but the run should heat up soon as soon as winter loosens her grip.

No, but I really want to. Seems like it would be cool even tho it’s hard fishing. I know the Wisconsin side of superior is better but that’s about all I know. They say the Brule can be super crowded but might be worth a run up there on a Friday if I can get off work or something.

As for the weather, Novak today [of Novak Weather (you really should follow his website or FB page, yeah he's that good)] said earlier today that with the next 10 day forecast and what we've experienced thus far, it's shaping up to be the "shittiest early spring on record".
We are at least 10 days behind, I suspect by end of next it'll be at least 2.5 weeks.

Looks like Devils Lake will be making ice the next five days. Low of 8 on Saturday. Boy you think to think they will not see ice out until early to maybe even mid may at this rate.

2' of snow in Bismarck ND, 34" at Red Lodge MT yesterday and it's still snowing today.
I bet 100,000+ cattle will die like 25 yrs when they had 2' in this same region. Many ranches will go under as a result.

Probably.....they're not njggers or grain farmers so no bailouts.

River is like me.....high AF.

Drought?

Get the fukc out of here with the drought shit.....meteorologists are still saying NE MN is under a drought because that's what the drought monitor says. There's still several feet of snow on the ground up the North Shore and over half of it has melted. The river was under a foot most of last summer and now it's over 12'......still pile after pile of snow to melt and all the ditches are full....creeks, streams, rivers running like a mofo.....

....but yeah, we're in a drought according to all the dipshit scientists in the cities sitting in fukcing computer labs.

100k might be hyperbole, but it’s calving season right now. Idk shit about farming but right when calves drop they are susceptible to the weather.

Nope. Conservative est is 100k
2.5 yrs ago in the mid Oct blizzard in Western SD, NE and WY, over 150k died. Beef in supermarket went up over 10%.
In the spring blizzard of 1997, 100k+ died in ND alone.
