yes at the auction, thousands, yes the Commissioner its nice to go to these events;have a speaker who doesn't have a power point speaks and is knowledgeable about almost everything

I don't think Derek made the trip. On Saturday I walked through & asked two of the exhibitors about Bender. The first didn't know him & the second one knew who Derek was but said he had not seen him at the decoy show in a couple of years. Bender isn't exactly shy so if he was around I'm sure we would of run into him.
I miss the old symposiums where we would take tours of projects and be able to see birds as they were heading for the breeding grounds. I know that the Symposium was moved to co-ordinate with the Decoy Collector's show but the ability to see what our duck stamp and other monies are putting on the ground is just as important. Maybe a Spring tour could be devised.
