I have an old, out of print copy, of "When Hell Broke Loose", which covers the storm very well. It has first hand stories of the survivors and the aftermath. It was a miracle that more people didn't die in this storm.

Pretty big winds where I hunted yesterday during Armistice day. The area is now having a blizzard with 55 mps wind gusts. Timing is ironic.
