Tried a standard kayak (10' old town loon), though it worked, I wasn't very comfortable with it.

Ended up going in on an order of aquapods with a buddy years back and enjoyed hunting out of it quite a bit. Had room for a bag of decoys & the dog. A guy could stand and shoot if he wanted to, but was a beast to paddle if the wind wasn't in your favor.

The m11 and 12 look like some rock pile hopping, low river fall walleye tools.

Once I got some extra cash I want a 12 foot sit on kayak with the in the body storage. Want to do some all weekend rock pile hopping for big fall eyes and relive my younger days of floating and camping down the mn river on a 2-3 day weekend.

You not doing that with the boat? Though you had a set-up.

I want to get the 16' Lund rigged for motor dependent excursion camping. Perfect for Rainy/Kabetogema/etc. The duck boat is rigged prime for skinny water. I'd ditch the kayak in a heart beat if there wasn't still place I drag in to, or want to drag in to. Kid is only 10, so I gots a few more years of being the humper : :D
