I go. Last year was cool hunting in Wisconsin, got two hunters there first birds on their first turkey hunts. 1st guy I just called in a single tom, he stormed in after he saw the jake decoy and the guy blasted him at 10 yards. Next morning we had a whole group of birds come in, like 10 hens, 3 toms, and a few jakes. I told the guy to wait til we could both get a shot...he jumped the gun a bit when he shot his and I had to shoot one at about 40 yards running straight away from us...tough shot but he dropped hard. MN hunt was tough in the snow, had 3 toms hang at about 50 yards just caught a short glimpse of them.

I forgot to apply this year but we typically go 4th season anyway so not a big deal.

Pretty exciting hunting them when they are vocal and willing to come to calls. When they are hened up it gets real frustrating. I've taken around 8 birds now with a shotgun, think it may be time to switch to the bow.

Nope. I would like to kill a Merriams for a nice tail mount though.

I typically go, this year I decided that I'm going to go with my bow. I'll be going the archery season.

I wish archery season was from start to finish like it is with deer. but the whole month of May can be pretty decent if you get some turkeys that aren't kicked around for a month before.
