we had a 2000 A6 Quattro for about 8 years. Great car, but it will be a money pit. The quote I loved best is, "Best car to own under warranty...."

If she is financing, when I was doing auto loans we would only do half nada value for salvaged vehicles

bought in '06 with high miles, shed last summer,

heavy isn't really my style. the high mileage, last body style Fusion.... about the right heavy for me

Most likely not financing I'll probably need to borrow her some cash and I have some ideas for interest

She's not listening but found a 2000 with lower miles and a huge list of recent repairs. Her Dad is going to check it out he's a certified aircraft and auto mechanic...so he should be able to get a good feel for it. So damn stubborn

Maybe show her a copy of the Consumer Reports review on Audis. Head to the library and look at older publicaitons for their reviews on Audis on the years she is looking at

Someone has to say this, so might as well be me. You need to ditch this chick like yesterday. It's obvious she could really care less about actual performance in snow as there are a million better options than a 14 year old Audi. She wants an Audi because it's an Audi, nothing more. It's a status symbol to her even if cars she is looking at are old and busted. It's no different than any broke ass poser over Norf who is driving around in a 2002 Escalade with 300,000 miles and $200 Walmart homey chromies they just got done paying off from layaway...but hey, it an Escalade/Audi right?

Seems really presumptuous for someone who has no idea who he or she is talking about.
