I don't get it either, still I've been hesitant to shoot my 22s much (I've been whittling away at the same brick for 2 years). I guess if I ran out spending 60 on a brick off the internet may start to sound reasonable, and I don't want to let my dummy brain start to think ridiculous things like that! Lol. One of my coworkers sisters works for wally world, she has been telling him when the 22 bricks are coming in, he will head out at 1 in the morning, on a work night to buy them all, he's even dragged his wife and adult kids along when the 1 brick per person rules were (could still be) in effect. He offered to sell me one for 40, I passed.

Still $25 or so a brick here. I bought a federal 525 brick for 19.99 at runnings about 3 weeks ago. Idiots need to stop buying it on gunbroker for $70 a brick, then your buddy wouldnt have to get up at 1am.

I heard the problem with 22 ammo is in the manufacturing process, they cant make them fast enough.

The problem is a combination of hoarding, flipping, tons of new shooters, tons of new guns, etc.
