I see you have started fishing upside down to challenge yourself a bit more. Way to go!

Yup. They open the gates on the Roseau River WMA on weekends so you could drive the whole dike. These are the only ducks I saw besides a couple of mergs and loons. There is a lot of water up there though so I am sure there are some ducks around.

We've been seeing mostly broods that look almost full grown. Then a week and a half ago started seeing ducklings about that size. Guessing it's natures way of spreading out the hatch to ensure survival with different brood times. Cool pic!
DENNIS ANDERSON, Then, about five years ago, in 2020, there were no more ducks in the state,

Heavy spring rains helped in the multi hatches.

Multiple hatches, renesting, all are possible. I think nesting overall will be awesome this year.

I call BS on the same hen having multiple successful hatches in the upper Midwest. It is quite rare, and you would not see the ducklings for another month yet. Yes she'll renest if the nest was raided. But having 2 successful broods? Go buy a daily 3 lotto ticket for better odds.

They sure do love to loaf on the docks...
