Yes, It has been real wet all summer. It was ideal conditions for woodcock. Lots of wet spots in the aspen parklands. I normally hunt sharptails/grouse there but with the wet summer they were pretty scarce. Between 3 of us we had about 15 flushes in a couple hours. A few snipe too.

Hate to talk on a pic thread, but gotta put my $.02 on the wimmin talk. Keepers are hard to find in remote areas but patience can be rewarded! Met the love of my life in Bemidji not too many years ago. We both made it to 30 without creating lifelong baggage, so choose wisely.

That pic is a 4 day total for MEA weekend. I wasn't there yet but apparently they wiped out a flock of 3 that consisted of 2 spooners and a can!

That photo reminds me of when my brother and brother in law used my truck to go 5 miles to get ice cream and brought it back looking like it had been in that mud hole.

Had a property East of Hobbydog and my old man was far too fond of his 3/4 and 1 ton diesels for the roads up there..... spent many a grand fall day yanking his trucks out.
