She's little yet and not in hunting mode but one comes by her and I pity the little bastard.

I had the same problem - f'ing mice everywhere when I bought the place. My shop cat had four kittens and I brought them home and they massacre everything - mice, sparrows, moles, even chase squirrels up trees. No more mice. Every morning there are dead little animals at the front door to show off their little trophies. They don't even eat them which is great.

One thing a farmer taught me is that a well fed cat will kill way more mice for sport than a cat that is eating to survive.
