yes at the auction, thousands, yes the Commissioner its nice to go to these events;have a speaker who doesn't have a power point speaks and is knowledgeable about almost everything

So true, he is one of the best, if not the best Commissioner that has lead the DNR ever.

Did Bender show up ???

No idea as I did not attend the decoy show at all. Walker may know as he was going there for a while.

But you'd think he'd have posted up recently if he was planning on attending.

BTW, has anyone invited him here to this site in the last few months, so that he is aware that we are over here now?

Don't think so.. or at least I didn't see him but I didn't stay long. But dont think he came last year either.

I don't think Derek made the trip. On Saturday I walked through & asked two of the exhibitors about
Bender. The first didn't know him & the second one knew who Derek was but said he had not
seen him at the decoy show in a couple of years. Bender isn't exactly shy so if he was around I'm
sure we would of run into him.

Wasn't able to make it, but am very interested in what they discussed about wild rice. Is there a summary or video online anywhere?

I miss the old symposiums where we would take tours of projects and be able to see birds as they were heading for the breeding grounds. I know that the Symposium was moved to co-ordinate with the Decoy Collector's show but the ability to see what our duck stamp and other monies are putting on the ground is just as important. Maybe a Spring tour could be devised.
